Grab your passport and travel the world as the 31st Street Park is transformed into an International Wine Sampling Extravaganza! This event will feature over 75 wines from around the world. Featured Countries Include: USA, France, Chile, New Zealand, Italy, South Africa, Germany, Japan, Argentina A limited number of admission tickets will be sold for this event. Each ticket includes a commemorative wine-tasting glass and unlimited tastings. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. Tables of 8 may be purchased in advance for $350. Advance Ticket sales end on Friday, May 14th at 4:00pm. After that time, tickets may be purchased at the door for $30. Please call the office for ticket orders of 10+ tickets for a $2/ticket discount.

The Virginia Beach Neptune Festival has an annual operating budget of $2.1 million, which is derived through corporate sponsorships, admission tickets, merchandise sales, and site revenues. The high quantity and wide range of sponsors and non-profit partnerships contribute to the charitable, educational, cultural, recreational, and economic development of the Hampton Roads region. Events annually generate approximately $18 million in economic impact, approximately $700,000 of direct municipal taxes, and shares over $100,000 with partnering charitable organizations such as the Contemporary Arts Center of Virginia, CHKD, Virginia Beach Jaycees, and Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society among others.

The Festival has vast geographic coverage and is well respected in the special events industry, as demonstrated by the consistent recognition of its flagship event, the Virginia Beach Neptune Festival Boardwalk Weekend, as one of the Top 100 Events in North America by the ABA and among the Top 20 Events in the Southeastern US by the Southeast Tourism Society.

Boardwalk Weekend occurs during the last weekend of September and is the largest annual special event in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Location
Pre-Festival events are held at various locations throughout the city of Virginia Beach, with Boardwalk Weekend taking place along 30 blocks at the oceanfront.
Attendance
Every year the Neptune Festival draws hundreds of thousands of attendees and participants. Average estimated attendance over the past 3 year for festival events is over 500,000.

To provide entertainment that enhances the quality of life for Virginia Beach residents and visitors. We produce and promote locally and nationally recognized events and activities that contribute to the charitable, educational, cultural, athletic, tourist and economic development of the area.

Through relationships with our volunteers, corporate sponsors, city agencies, military and other non-profit organizations, we provide entertainment and events that allow all to "Celebrate Our Community"

The Neptune Festival is a private non-profit 501-c-3 organization consisting of a 40 member Board of Directors, 23 committees, over 1,200 Volunteers, full time staff members and 35 events. The Neptune Festival is funded by corporate sponsorships, admission tickets, merchandise sales and site revenues.
Community
Outreach
The Neptune Festival provides exposure and fundraising opportunities for non-profit, civic and charitable organization. Each year nearly 20 nonprofit organizations collectively earn over $100,000 from their involvement with the festival. And there are numerous opportunities for the community to get directly involved with the festival by volunteering for one of the 1,200 volunteer positions.
