Virginia Beach, VA: Grab your passports and come uncork the vast world of wine at the 5th annual Neptune's International Spring Wine Festival. Since its first year in 2004, the International Spring Wine Festival has grown into a seasonal favorite for wine aficionados everywhere. This year's event will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2008 from Noon to 5:00 p.m.
Sample a variety of over 75 wines from around the globe showcased at 24th Street Park on the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Tantalize your taste buds with the latest vintages and flavors from France, Chile, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, South Africa, South America, Argentina and Germany in addition to California, North Carolina and Virginia vintages. Guests also will enjoy live music from local favorites Lewis McGehee and B3 Fusion. Gourmet sandwiches, wraps and other specialty food offerings will be available on-site.
With a limited number of tickets available, the festival is sure to sell out. Advance tickets are $25 or pay $30 at the gate. Wine tasters must be 21 years of age to purchase a ticket or any wine, and proof of age is required.
In the event of inclement weather, the festival will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2008, from noon to 5 p.m.
Neptune's International Spring Wine Tasting is produced in conjunction with BeachEvents and sponsored by Farm Fresh and The Wine Depot. The event is part of the Neptune Festival's 35th anniversary season of community celebration and special events. Each year, the Neptune Festival attracts hundreds of thousands of people to the Virginia Beach oceanfront.
