Virginia Beach, VA: The Virginia Beach Neptune Festival, celebrating its 34th year as one of the most successful festivals on the East Coast, is seeking enthusiastic volunteers for its annual celebration. Volunteers are needed for all aspects of the festival.
The 34th Annual Virginia Beach Neptune Festival activities begin in full force on August 25, 2007, with the ultra-hip Endless Summer Earthshaker’s Ball and events run through the end of September culminating with Boardwalk Weekend, Friday, Sept. 28 through Sunday, September 30, 2007 on the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
Specific volunteer positions include the Sandman Triathlon (Sunday, Sept. 16), the Neptune 8K Run (Saturday, September 29), and the Grand Parade (Saturday, September 29). There are also a wide-variety of volunteer positions available throughout Boardwalk Weekend (Friday, September 28 – Sunday, September 30). These opportunities are ideal for civic groups, church organizations and individuals.
